LaTisha D. Ware, LPC-A
There's something I've always believed: every family deserves to be seen — not just the put-together version, but the full, complicated, real version.

I became a therapist because I kept noticing the families and children that others wrote off as "too much" or "too difficult." The kids whose behavior looked like defiance, but was really pain they didn't have words for. The parents who were exhausted, overwhelmed, and quietly wondering if they were failing — even though they were trying everything they knew.

I saw something in those families that a lot of people missed: underneath all of it was a deep desire to heal. They just needed someone who knew how to meet them there.

That's why I started Minds Under Construction. I started Minds Under Construction because I believe that being "under construction" is something to be proud of not ashamed of. Growth takes time. Healing takes time. And you deserve someone in your corner for the whole journey.

My Approach

Healing is not a straight line — and it's not a quick fix. It's a process that requires safety, trust, and a therapist who isn't afraid to go at your pace.

My work is rooted in trauma-informed care, which means I believe in understanding the why behind behavior before trying to change it. I don't come into sessions with a script. I come with curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for everything you and your family have been through.

I use a 5-phase approach to guide our work together:

-
Families involved with CPS/DFPS who need a safe, non-judgmental space to heal
