Helping others has always been a goal of mine. I came to realize the best way to have a direct and effective impact on others was through the transmission of knowledge. Thus I began my career as an educator. I quickly began to see, before I could educate the future I must love them, get to know them, and make them feel safe and secure in the environment I created for them. I became an advocate for each student that came across my path, giving them the tools they needed socially, emotionally, and academically. I find it an honor and privilege to serve as an advocate for students who have no fight left, have seen darker days than most adults, yet still manage to gather themselves as best they know and walk into the climate in which we create for them.
